The Bergen Family Center’s Englewood Pre-K program is touted as having one of the most unique styles of early education. Our outstanding program applies the Reggio Emilia approach to learning; focusing on encouraging and stimulating curiosity, research and collaboration. Hailed as the best pre-schools in the world by Newsweek magazine in 1991, the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education program has attracted the worldwide attention of educators, researchers, and just about anyone interested in early childhood education best practices. We feel that New Jersey/New York educators, parents, administrators, etc would benefit tremendously from learning more about this style of teaching. Bergen Family Center will be hosting a Reggio Emilia Approach conference (Feb. 29-March 1, 2008) at the DMAE High School Campus on Knickerbocker Rd., Englewood, featuring Italy’s Int’l Network Coordinator of Reggio Emilia, Amelia Gambetti (coming from Italy) and Lella Gandini, Reggio United States Liaison. We are honored to have these ladies visit Englewood and speak at our conference since they are world-renowned and well-known authors of many books and publications on Reggio Emilia Approach education.
